" Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.”

Bill Grein, Jill's husband and a carpenter and builder by trade, built the first building after 2 years due to a steadily increasing enrollment. The next 30 years saw Bill construct 2 more classrooms, corrals, bunny runs, pathways, kiln shed, gardens and picnic areas - all in his "spare time"!
When the 14 acres next to the school became available in 2007, the primary parents demand for an Elementary school had to be addressed. We bought the land and embarked on the adventure of the Montessori Elementary Program. Bill retired from his construction company to start right back in building. We have added an outdoor stage, hen house, "Prairie Hill", and a Low Ropes Course to the campus. From one child to now, hundreds of graduates later, we continue to celebrate and feel profoundly grateful for this opportunity to fulfill the promise of the Montessori Education in this lovely setting. |
