The Application Process for Primary Children (ages 3 to 6)
Parents should make an appointment to tour the campus, observe a classroom, and ask any questions.
If, at this time, you would like to pursue the possibility of attending, you may fill out an application form, submit your $50 application fee, and be placed on the waiting list.
For children who have attended school, we will give you a confidential “Teacher Evaluation Form” for your child’s current teacher to fill out and return directly to our school.
If all parties feel this is a good fit, the child is accepted as a candidate for the primary program. At this time you will submit your $200 non-refundable registration fee to accept your spot.
The Application Process for Elementary Children (ages 6 to 12)
When making Cedars a consideration for your child’s elementary years, we want to be assured that a Montessori education is the right choice for your child. The Montessori Method assumes that the child has the ability to initiate their own work and to work in a reasonable self-directed manner. The following steps are in place to ensure your child’s success.

Your child can then come and visit with a teacher after school for about 20 to 30 minutes for a brief meeting and assessment. We ask the child to bring a favorite book or item they'd like to talk about.
If both the family and the teacher have determined that coming to Cedars would be a good fit, we schedule a time for the child to come spend some time in the classroom for part of the day.
