Scenes from an afternoon! In the year ahead, the children and I, well mostly the children, plan to offer you a newsletter at the end of each month. As a start, I snapped some Photos from around the room yesterday afternoon to give you a glimpse of the work happening around Rockwood. Children are playing piano, deeply concentrating, bonding with new community members, planning a Going Out, writing stories, reading books, receiving lessons, and so much much more! Tomorrow, if the rain holds off, we will enjoy a picnic and swim at Deep Eddy. Be sure to sign the permission form. Also, we are still seeking 2 chaperones for the boys cabin for our outdoor school trip. Today I am going to share a story with the beginning cycle children about building your own library of the mind. I'll attach it for you to enjoy. All members of Rockwood have heard the story at some point. It may be a great conversation topic to have with your child over dinner or in a quiet moment. Enjoy! Library of Knowledge
